You can be at the comfort of your home, working on set, or traveling anywhere in the world and still get an excellent reader. Virtual reader sessions are for when you’re unable to have a taped audition at the studio. They offer flexibility for your busy schedule. These sessions are conducted over Zoom and you’ll get a reader from Higher Elevation Studio who is a fellow actor in the community.

What are the expectations:

Your reader will be another actor on staff from Higher Elevation Studio.
Upon booking your appointment, you’ll receive an email with your Zoom link for the time and date you selected.
You will be responsible for your own lighting, sound, recording, and editing.
Due to internet constraints, we don’t provide remote taping (recording your Zoom sessions) nor do we recommend it.
We can provide redirects if we can view you while you’re auditioning.
Optionally, we can edit your audition tape files for an additional fee.

Please schedule appropriately. If you have multiple auditions/pages, you will need more than 10 minutes.

Members, please only schedule the time you need for the audition. Overbooking your time results in other people being unable to audition.

Everyone’s appointment will start at their scheduled time and end at their scheduled time. If you are not on time, you will have a shorter appointment.

FAQ

What is your cancelation/rescheduling policy?

All appointments must be canceled or rescheduled prior to two (2) hours ahead of your appointment. Otherwise, you’ll be invoiced or charged for your appointment.

Are you going to tape my virtual reader audition?

No, we currently do not provide a remote taping service, nor do we recommend it. Remote taping is when we record your Zoom session and turn that into an audition. We don’t provide that service due to the unreliability of Zoom or other conferencing software.

Will you edit my audition?

By default, you’re responsible for editing your own audition files when having a virtual reader session.

However, we can edit them if you transfer your files to us for an additional cost. If you choose this option, we’re at the mercy of internet transfers, so it may take some time for us to receive them. Also, we will only edit when time permits within our schedule.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit/debit cards, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, and cash

What are the membership scheduling limitations?

Members are limited to limited to the maximum amount of time the level allows. Anything over that will be canceled with no questions asked.

For all virtual reader appointments, a Zoom link will be provided after the appointment and the client is expected to self-tape their own auditions and edit them. If you would like Higher Elevation Studio to edit your audition, there is an additional charge for that service.
